Management of insects and diseases begins with maintaining tree health through pruning and optimizing soil condition. Inspections to detect infestations before damage occurs are ideal. When trees do show signs of stress such as wilting, curling or loss of leaves, we can assess tree condition and environmental conditions that may have an impact. We can diagnose and control diseases and insects, often with non-toxic, organic options. In treating declining trees remediation measures available also include cabling, injection fertilizing and vertical mulching.
We can provide continual care for your trees and shrubs. We will customize a service plan to meet your budget and the needs of your landscape. Services include inspecting trees and shrubs and their growing environments, annual pruning, disease and insect management, fertilizing and mulching.
Birch tree maintenance
Paper Birch is the native tree in North Idaho. When stressed from drought and/or construction activities, birch trees are susceptible to attack from Bronzed Birch Borer. These native insects cause the tops to die and may eventually lead to the entire tree dying.
Healthy birch trees can fight off these insects – even if attacked they are able to survive if properly cared for. We have the knowledge and tools to help these stately trees thrive.
